Katahdin produces Quality Log Home Packages using Northern White Cedar Logs. They are first Air Dried and then Kiln Dried down to 12% – 13% Moisture so we have virtually No Settlement. This allows the use of the Katahdin Energy Envelope System, which is a Wall Insulation Package, available in R-16, R-19, – R,21, R-23, or R-26, and a Roof Insulation Package from R-36 to R-56. A R-16 Wall Package and R-36 Roof Insulation is sufficient for our area in Missouri. But the Higher the R value the more Energy Efficient. We recently completed a Katahdin Log Home with R-26 walls and R-56 Roof insulation.
We provide anything from a Basic Log Package to a Completed Turnkey Log Home. A large selection of Log Sizes, Corner Details. Finishes and Species of Logs to build the Log Home of your Dreams. In addition to the Katahdin Cedar Log Homes Packages, we can Supply and Build with Eastern White Pine Logs from a Wholesale Supplier. We can sometimes put together a Package using the Easten White Pine Logs at a lesser Total Price. We recently Partnered with Artisan Log & Timber Log Homes and can Supply Packages for Post & Beam and Timber Frame Log Homes. Or we can put together a Combination of these different Homes, which would be considered a Hybrid Home.
