Lake of the Ozarks Log Home Tour November 16,2024

Hart’s Desire Log Homes will be Hosting a Log Home Tour of 4 Log Homes. The Tour will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday November 16, 2024.

This Event will begin with a Tour the Log Home that is our Residence. It was built in 2004 and 2005, and my 1st Log Home Build. It is a “Old Timer” Log Home, Modified Magnolia Plan, built with Eastern White Pine Logs. At the time I was a Dealer for Old Timer Log Homes, Mt. Juliet TN. They went out of business due to the Owners Health. We became Dealers for Katahdin Cedar Log Homes in 2011.
The 2nd Log Home on the Tour will be a Katahdin Cedar Log Homes Custom Log Home that was Completed in 2017. It is near Edwards, MO. We Helped the Owners Create this Custom Plan and was designed to fit a small Lake Lot, with a Narrow building site. The Owners had a special design for the Covered Porch/Patio that makes it Unique. It is built with Northern White Cedar Logs, and an R-16 Wall and R-36 Roof Insulation Packages
The 3rd Log Home on the Tour near Climax Springs, MO. is also a Katahdin Cedar Log Home. We helped the Owners Modify the Standard “Katahdin” Plan to fit their Wants and Needs. It had Special Challenges due to Location. The site had a Steep Slope towards the Lake, typical of a lot of Lake of the Ozarks lots. To locate the Log Home where the Owners wanted it, the side closest to the Lake was only about 8’ from a Cliff, with the Lake below, which gave them a Beautiful View of the Lake below. It is built with Northern White Cedar Logs, and an R-16 Wall and R-36 Roof Insulation Packages
The 4th and last Log Home on the Tour, near Laurie, MO. would only be Viewed, from Outside at the Owners request. Particitants can choose if they want to continue to this Log Home, or emd the Tour after the 3rd Log Home. It is a Karahdin Cedar Log Home. We worked with the Owners for several monhts Modifing this Standard “Summit” Plan so it was exactly as they wanted. It is built with Northern White Cedar Logs and has a R-26 Wall, and R-56 Roof Insulation Packages, which is the Maximum offered by Katahdin. The View of Lake of the Ozarks below is Super.
